Q3

by erikwoodward10 Tue Aug 02, 2016 4:04 pm

Working through my BR of PT 67 and thought I'd add my analysis on this question:

Pre-phrase: Truthfully tenuous—because people tend to remember the past with a “vested interest” because people remember what they “prefer”. Paragraph 3.

A. Matches pre-phrase. Keep.
B. This doesn’t reflect paragraph 2. And the author seems to believe that the oral testimony supplements the available record—which is used to verify the testimony. Wrong.
C. This is tricky—we can probably assume that the author feels that his methodology may be uncommon because he spends a lot of time justifying it (although we can’t say how uncommon, so this is wrong for this reason alone). Furthermore, this question is about the hypothetical book. We have no idea if this would be cited or not. Wrong.
D. Same as C, we don’t know about the book as a source. Also unsupported.
E. Contradicts the passage. Wrong.

Great work erikwoodward10!

I'm impressed that you're tagging the wrong answers by pattern, pointing to specific parts of the passage to support the right answer, deferring on your selection!

Wow!
