Sure thing.

Q4 says we have to use LP in a recipe.

We should ask:
- any rules for L or P?
- could this be main dish or appetizer?

There are no rules for LP. It seems like it could be either main dish or appetizer, so I would immediately create a scenario for each.

app: L P ( __ )
main: __ __ __ __ ( __ )

app: __ __ ( __ )
main: L P __ __ ( __ )

Whenever the people in the question don't have rules that trigger anything, I start thinking, "Where is the chunk gonna go?"

Do I know where GN will land?
definitely, in the first scenario, because it could only fit in Main.

app: L P ( __ )
main: G N __ __ ( __ )

app: __ __ ( __ )
main: L P __ __ ( __ )

We also have enemy rules: ~(FN) and ~(ST)
So in the first scenario, F has to go to the app row:
app: L P F
main: G N __ __

But that means that S and T are two who are left, and this would force them to be together in MAIN. Apparently, this scenario blows up. So, we're forced to do the other scenario, where LP is in the MAIN course.

app: __ __ ( __ )
main: L P __ __ ( __ )

At this point, we have our answer, because L and P must be in the main course, so (B) is correct.

We can write counterexamples to all the other answers:
app: G, N, S/T
main: L, P, F, T/S

This proves that (A), (C), (D), and (E) are all wrong, since none of those four letters MUST be in the main dish.

Hope this helps.
