(A) is true, but its scope is too narrow to cover the overall main point of the passage.
(B) is true, but its scope is too narrow to cover the overall main point of the passage.
(C) is an unsupported interpretation. This answer overextends the scope of the passage from poetry to art in general, and mistakes Gluck’s belief in subject universality for a belief in an equally male/female perspective.
(E) is an unsupported interpretation. The bulk of the passage sides with Gluck, and the final paragraph directly answers her critics.
