9. C and D are the same -- there must be some mistake there.
A) we can see (A) canʼt be true. If L is out, F is in, and vice-versa.
B) canʼt be true based on the rules off to the side
C) could be true
D) could be true
E) canʼt be true based on chain


Hey Dan... great set up!! Thank you. On #9 I don't believe "C" can be true because if Laurels are not in the park, according to the diagram, Spruces must be in the park. That leaves "D" as the correct answer.

You're exactly right. Somehow the question got transcribed incorrectly in the version that was used to create the solution (C and D were written as identical answer choices). (C) definitely can't be true.
